Our Health Policy

Migrateful is committed to maintaining high health and safety standards to dissuade the spread of bacteria and disease at our cookery classes. In light of the current situation with coronavirus, we have put systems in place to maintain public health and dissuade the spread of disease:

  • All Migrateful facilitators hold a Level 2 Food Safety certification.
  • Migrateful chefs undergo training in food hygiene as part of our Chef Training course.
  • We are following the advice provided by the National Health Service website and will share this advice with all cookery class chefs, guests, and facilitators. The advice recommends:
    • Washing your hands more than usual, for 20 seconds, whenever you:
      • get home or into work
      • blow your nose, sneeze or cough
      • eat or handle food
    • It is important to use soap and water or a hand sanitizer
  • Cookery class facilitators have been equipped with extra antibacterial soap and will encourage participants to periodically clean their hands and thoroughly wipe down surfaces.

In alignment with UK Government policy, we kindly request that guests stay indoors and avoid attending cookery classes if you’ve travelled to the UK from:

  • Hubei province in China in the last 14 days, even if you do not have symptoms
  • Iran, lockdown areas in northern Italy or special care zones in South Korea since 19 February, even if you do not have symptoms
  • other parts of mainland China or South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild)
  • other parts of northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini), Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar or Vietnam since 19 February and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild)
