Learn the secrets to cooking a range of aromatic Pakistani dishes, followed by a seat-down dinner with Noor

This is your chance to learn a brand new cuisine, support an amazing cause, and eat great food!

Message from Noor “My name is Noor. I am from Lahore in Pakistan. I arrived to the UK 3 years ago and I am still waiting for my asylum claim to be accepted. Lahore is famous for its food – everyone is obsessed with it. You will find food at any time of day or night. There are so many different dishes! I love cooking. My mum always cooked us many different dishes when I was growing up. She let me cook for the family at weekends and that is how I learned how to cook. Pakistani dishes are known for having aromatic and sometimes spicy flavours. Brown cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, mace, and black pepper are the most commonly used spices in the making of a wide variety of dishes.”

Please note that Mercato Metropolitano is a vibrant, bustling market place which can become very noisy. If you have trouble hearing you might like to consider classes at our other venues.

This is a family style cookery class where we will collectively prepare 3 or 4 dishes. The chef will divide the class into groups with each one responsible for creating 1 of the dishes. You are also free to move around during the class to learn about the other dishes. The chef will recap each of the dishes throughout the evening and at the end of the class so that everyone can learn about all of the dishes.
