SUMMARY:Iranian Cookery Class with Ladan | Veg Friendly | LONDON | Cookery School
DESCRIPTION:Chef Ladan will teach delicious\, authentic Iranian dishes followed by a sit-down meal.\n\n\nABOUT THE CUISINE \nIranian cuisine is renowned for its aromatic herbs\, delicate spices\, and beautiful balance of sweet and sour flavours. From rich stews like Fesenjan to vibrant yoghurt dishes and saffron-scented rice\, every dish is crafted with care\, colour\, and generosity. Iranian food is deeply social\, with meals shared in warm\, communal gatherings — a celebration of heritage\, hospitality\, and connection. \n \nABOUT THE CHEF \nA message from chef Ladan: \n“My name is Ladan and I come from Tehran\, the capital of Iran. I have always loved to cook\, and\, of course\, to eat. My mother was my first teacher\, but I also learnt from my grandmother and my aunts as we all lived in a multi-generational home; always cooking\, eating and celebrating together. I love to cook with lots of fresh herbs\, and these make Iranian dishes so special. I make delicious food for myself\, my family and friends – and my friends are always inviting me to cook for them. \nI am a very creative person\, so I love to make my dishes look beautiful. Presentation in Iranian cooking is very important and I will teach you to use ingredients to make the dishes look appealing and for your guests to look forward to. I really care about my health\, and believe that the food we eat is directly related to our health – so preparing food that is nutritious as well as delicious is really important to me. I look forward to sharing my tasty\, healthy food with you. \nI love to practise yoga\, to meditate and study astrology. I also like to keep fit and I love music\, so I will often have music playing whilst I am cooking. It makes me feel happy\, and I hope I can share some Iranian music with you! Dancing is a passion\, so if you come to my cookery classes\, I might teach you some Iranian dance moves!”. \n \n\n\n\nON THE MENU (subject to change): \n\nKashk e Bademjan (Aubergine with Whey) | Vegetarian; Gluten (Wheat)\, Milk\, Sesame\, Tree Nuts (Walnuts)\nFesenjan (Chicken\, Walnut and Pomegranate Stew) | Meat (`Chicken); Tree Nuts (Walnuts)\nTachin (Rice Cake) | Vegetarian; Gluten (Wheat)\, Milk\, Tree Nuts (Almonds)\nBurany Kadu (Yoghurt with Herbs and Courgette) | Vegetarian; Milk\, Tree Nuts (Walnuts)\nNargesi (Bread\, Spinach and Egg Snack) | Vegetarian; Eggs\, Gluten (Wheat)\, Sesame\, Tree Nuts (Walnuts)\n\nThis menu contains meat (chicken) but is vegetarian-friendly (4 /5 dishes are meat-free).
