Title: Marketing and Chef training Officer 

Hours: 2 days a week 

Location: Between the Migrateful office (International House, Brixton) and Chef training venue (Crossway Christian Centre, E & C)

Salary: £25,000 pro rata (Subject to passing 3 month probation period paid at £23,000 pro rata)

To start: ASAP

Marketing and Customer Development

  • Review and adapt Migrateful’s marketing strategy
  • Manage social media channels 
  • Take photos for social media channels 
  • Devise and implement new marketing campaigns with both corporates and individuals
  • Develop fundraising campaigns and develop a donor base 
  • Write content for regular newsletter 
  • Write content for Migrateful blog alongside the CEO and intern 
  • Help with business development such as finding new venues to run our cookery classes
  • Help Migrateful to publish a recipe book alongside the CEO 
  • Develop youtube channel following (if there is time)  

Chef training support

  • Help to develop chef training syllabus alongside the CEO 
  • Run workshops during Tuesday chef training sessions to help chefs become better cookery class teachers 
  • Help chefs to expand their recipe repertoire
  • Help chefs to start their own catering organisations in partnership with x incubator program (TBC) 

Person specification:

  • Catering experience and chef qualification desirable 
  • Proven skills and knowledge in delivering cookery classes or events
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with, and have empathy for a diverse range of people including vulnerable groups
  • Experiencing of scheduling social media posts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook 
  • Experience of growing social media following
  • Photography skills desirable
  • Ability to take initiative, be flexible and think creatively
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
  • To be invested in Migrateful’s mission
