2. Health & Safety

  • Basic health and safety advice will be provided at the start of every class.
  • Migrateful is not liable for any damage that occurs to participants’ clothing, shoes or other belongings as a result of negligence by other participants.
  • Migrateful is not liable for any damage that occurs to participants’ clothing or shoes as a result of negligence by other participants.
  • As this is an outdoor venue, guests are advised to practise caution when moving around the venue.

3. Special dietary requirements, food allergies & illness

  • It is the participant’s responsibility to inform Migrateful of any allergies, or intolerances at least one week before the class. Migrateful cannot cater to dietary requirements or offer substitutions.
  • Food isprepared in environmentswhere the 14 allergens (celery; cerealscontaining gluten; crustaceans; eggs; fish; lupin; milk; molluscs; mustard; peanuts; sesame; soybeans; sulphur dioxide and sulphites; and tree nuts). are processed, so cross-contamination may occur. 4. Unreasonable behaviour

  • Migrateful reserves the right to request that a participant leaves the class if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable or if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

5. Loss or damage to personal property

  • Ticket holders are advised not to bring any items of special or high value to the class.
  • Migrateful does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of any personal possessions.
  • Any items found during the class that do not belong to Migrateful or the venue will be retained for a period of 30 days. After this timeframe, Migrateful may appropriately dispose of the items.

6 Cancellations, Refunds & Exchange Policy

If a ticket holder wishes to cancel their reservation for a cookery class, the
following policy will apply:

6.1 Cancellation by ticket holder:

  • Due to the advance preparations required for the class, cancellations made within 7 days of a scheduled class cannot be accommodated as payment obligations to our cooks, staff, venue and food costs would have already been finalised.
  • If a ticket holder cannot attend a class, they have the option to gift their ticket to a friend or family member. In this instance, the ticket holder is responsible for communicating any allergen or dietary requirements of the new ticket holder to Migrateful. If the ticket cannot be used by a family member or friend, it will be considered a donation.
  • Refunds and exchanges are only possible up to 7 days before the class.
  • In cases where a ticket holder is eligible for a refund, the refund will be processed according to the initial payment method used for the transaction.
  • When a refund is made to the ticket purchaser’s bank account, the amount refunded will exclude booking fees paid by the purchaser at the time of the initial transaction.
  • If the ticket was purchased using a gift voucher, a gift voucher to the value of the initial voucher purchased will be issued. The original Migrateful Voucher Terms and Conditions will apply.

6.2 Cancellations by Migrateful:

  • Migrateful reserves the right to cancel a class if:
    • the minimum number of participants for a class to proceed has not been reached. Participants are usually advised of this 7 days in advance.
    • Issues at the venue, the equipment and/or with staff availability compromises or has the potential to compromise the safety of a class.

Migrateful will review the conditions under which a class has been cancelled and will provide ticket holders with the opportunity to attend an alternative class, on another date to the same / similar value as the cancelled class. If the ticket holder is unable to agree to attend an alternative class, a gift voucher to the same value of the ticket purchased will be issued to the ticket holder for use on another occasion.

6.3 Force Majeure:

  • If circumstances beyond Migrateful’s control make it impossible, impractical, or unsafe to conduct the class (e.g., natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, government restrictions), no refunds or transfers will be issued.

8. Photo & Video Documentation

  • Some classes may be photographed and/or filmed for purposes of Migrateful’s own marketing or external media coverage (e.g. editorial websites, magazines, social media influencers).
  • Participants will be informed of this before the class, and consent to be recorded, photographed, and videotaped will be confirmed at the class.

9. Copyright & Acceptable Usage

  • Full copyright of the Migrateful website and related content, including recipe suggestions and recipes developed by Migrateful, is retained by Migrateful.
  • Recipe suggestions and recipe cards are for personal use only. Sharing these materials through print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet, or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Migrateful.

10. Reasonable adjustments

  • While we will make every effort to maintain the advertised features of our offering, Migrateful reserves the right to make necessary modifications to ensure that the class can proceed to a satisfactory standard.
