Due to legal and social barriers, finding work can be extremely difficult for many migrants. Unable to provide for themselves and their families significantly negatively affects self-esteem, mental health, and wider society.
Our initiative focuses on training enthusiastic migrant cooks to evolve into cookery class teachers prepared to share their culinary expertise with the public.
We provide our chefs with wider social networks and support; a greater sense of belonging and self-worth; a source of income; opportunities to share and celebrate their culture; and help access employment or self-employment.
However, this transformation demands both time and resources. While a significant portion of our costs is covered through ticket sales, as a charity, we must fundraise to cover the rest.
Your generous donations fuel our mission to uplift migrant communities and promote positive societal change.
