By booking an Migrateful In-Person Group Cookery Class you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

1. What’s Included:

  • A Cookery Class with a Chef and a facilitator during which you will learn how to make between three and six delicious dishes.
  • All ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Venue for the Cookery Class (Migrateful Cookery School in London or Bristol).
  • A copy of the recipes that you cook, sent the day after.
  • If booking the Generosity Package: nibbles, drinks (limited to what the package offers) and aprons for each participant.
  • If booking upgrade packages, in addition to the above, you will receive the following: Extras Package: A glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic alternative on arrival, welcome nibbles and apron hire for the duration of the class for each participant. Generosity Package: A glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic alternative on arrival, welcome nibbles, 2 additional drinks per participant and apron hire for the duration of the class for each participant. nibbles, drinks (limited to what the package offers) and aprons for each participant to take home.

    If the Cookery Class is taking place outside a Migrateful Cookery School, we will be using a fully equipped kitchen for the class at one of our venue partners and will supply all necessary equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware required for the session.

    2. Health & Safety

    Our facilitator will provide advice on basic health and safety points at the start of every Cookery Class. You can take a look at the basic health and safety guidelines on Handwashing and Personal Hygiene when working in kitchens.

    We advise participants to wear sensible clothing (that you don’t mind getting marked), shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes, and to tie back long hair.

    We reserve the right to end a Cookery Class early if, in our opinion, any participant behaves in an unacceptable manner.

    3. Dietary Requirements & Food Allergies

    Please carefully read our Food and Allergen Policy before your In-Person Group Cookery Class. We will always do our best to tailor our cookery classes to meet the dietary requirements of class participants. It is ultimately the host’s responsibility to inform us of any dietary requirements for themselves and their guests. These should be sent to us at least one week before the Cookery Class via email to bookings@migrateful.org.

    4. Deposit and Payment

    We require a non-refundable £200 deposit payment in full to confirm and secure a Cookery Class booking.

    After the Cookery Class, an invoice will be issued by our team within 14 days. Invoices are to be paid within 30 days from the date of issue.

    5. Amendments, Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

    Amendments to the total number of participants

    • The total number of participants must be confirmed at least 3 working days before the Cookery Class. If you are expecting fewer people at your session, please let us know so we can avoid food waste where possible.
    • Any additions to the confirmed number of participants need to be communicated as soon as possible before the class, and we will do our best to accommodate. The final invoice will reflect the confirmed number of participants plus any additional participants.
    • Any reductions to the confirmed number of participants less than 3 working days before the class will not be reflected in the final invoice. We will charge according to the total number of participants confirmed 3 working days before the class.

    Cancellations and rescheduling requests by participants

    If you cancel or reschedule a Cookery Class with Migrateful, the following will apply:

    Cancellations by Migrateful

    In the rare circumstances that Migrateful has to cancel or make major changes to your event/cookery class, we will contact the host as soon as possible and propose an alternative option for the same day, if possible or offer to rearrange for a different date.

    In case these options are not suitable for you, we will issue a full refund within 14 working days.

    Force Majeure

    Neither Migrateful nor the host/participants shall be liable for cancellation or failure/delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond the reasonable control of that party. Such causes include, but are not limited to: infrastructure failures, including power failure, industrial action, civil unrest, storms (red alert weather warning), earthquakes, disease epidemics, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question or falls under “act of God”.

    If you need to cancel a Cookery Class with Migrateful due to any event which falls under this outlined definition of Force Majeure, you must give Migrateful notice in writing specifying the nature of the circumstances giving rise to force majeure with as much notice as possible. The following will apply:

    • You are able to reschedule your booking to another suitable date using the same deposit. We are unable to offer refunds for such cancellations.

    6. Copyright & Acceptable Usage

    Full copyright of the Migrateful website and other related content, including recipe suggestions and recipes developed by Migrateful is retained by Migrateful. All recipes are for personal use only. The sharing of these materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Migrateful.

    Please note that some of our chefs may have different privacy needs. Any social media content or other communications and marketing material that may include the chefs’ story or photograph will have to be pre-approved by Migrateful.
