Fatima

Iranian

My name is Fatima and I am from Iran. I came to England in 2022 with my husband and my six year old twin boys. We left everything behind in Tehran to come here. In Iran, I studied food science at university and worked for a medical company and then became a nail technician. I didn’t start seriously cooking until I got married. It was then that I fell in love with cooking. I love experimenting with food. My favourite ingredient is saffron – I use it in lots of dishes – rice, ice cream, cake, sweets and even tea! I love the diversity of Iranian food – every city has its own local dishes.
